| Bruce Klauber Makes Rare Videos Available | |
| Bruce Klauber is now offering fans "private edition" versions of two rare Gene Krupa films on a "collector-to-collector" basis only.
"George White's Scandal's": This film, which was issued briefly on video in the early eighties and quickly deleted, is now available again thanks to Bruce Klauber. Made in 1945, George White's Scandal's also stars Jack Haley and Joan David and runs 95 minutes. "Beat the Band": Not commercially available on video, this 67-minute featurette from 1947 has been struck from a pristine, 16-mm film print. A rare and most sought-after Krupa film, "Beat The Band" features Krupa in a number of tunes, including a "live" drum solo and the famous "boiler room" sequence where Gene drums on the steam pipes. Seen within the band are Red Rodney, Gerry Mulligan, Teddy Napoleon, Buddy Wise and Charlie Kennedy. Both films are $19.95 and are available exclusively from Bruce Klauber's web site, JazzLegends.com. |

| New Klauber Krupa Video Available in the Fall | |
Bruce Klauber has been busy lately working on an exciting new video for Hudson Music/Hal Leonard.
The new program, entitled "Classic Drum Solos and Drum Battles," will retail for $24.95 and should be available this fall from via Hudsonmusic.com
and in retail stores worldwide from Hal Leonard. The solo portion consists of uncut, extended solos by Sam Woodyard, Joe Morello, Rufus Jones, Art Blakey, Louie Bellson and Buddy Rich.
The battle portion contains duels between Krupa and Cozy Cole (including a rehearsal that was never broadcast), Gene, Lionel Hampton and Chico Hamilton;
Buddy and Ed Shaughnessy; Sunny Murray, Elvin Jones and Art Blakey; and, get this, a seven minute "battle" between Buddy and Jerry Lewis from 1955!
Bonus track is the theatrical trailer for "The Gene Krupa Story," which hasn't been seen outside of theaters since 1958!
