March 2004 Update I'm excited to have an update available and back on schedule. Enjoy!
As mentioned way back in the March 2003 update, I'm still hard at work on a greatly expanded LP page that will link in correspondence to the Sessionography page. There have obviously been delays, but nevertheless I believe it will be worth the wait. |

December 2003 Update Unfortunately again, I lack the sufficient resources to present a December '03 update. In the mean time, unannounced updates, albeit minor, have been sporadically posted. I'm confident the update schedule will resume on March '04. Again, thank you for your continued understanding and support. |

March 2003 Update Well our update if off schedule again. We didn't stay on schedule too long, but we hope you enjoy the additions nonetheless. Check them out below!
One of the reasons the update was posted late is because I've been hard at work with a major overhaul to the LPs page. It will follow in format to the rest of the Media pages (CDs, Videos, Books, etc.) I'm hoping to have it completed in time for the July 2003 update but I'm learning that this may be unrealistic - More to come... |

December 2002 Update December 2002's update puts us back on our update schedule -- were we will (hopefully) remain . Some of you have asked for purchasing information on some of the CD, Books and Video pages. Incorporating the new Amazon "Buy it now" links to our pages should offer assistance. See all additions below.
After encountering a wealth of problems this year (both hardware and software) I'm optimistic that all that is behind me. Again we appreciate your patience throughout these ordeals. By upgrading my personal system, I feel I've hopefully eliminated most of the issues within my control -- although I'm constantly aware of Murphy's law and it's surprising capabilities! |

July 2002 Update Unfortunately the only news we have about the July 2002 update is there is none. As luck would have it, shortly after solving the problems encountered during our recent hosting transfer we then experienced a complete hard-drive failure. Although the majority of the site was safely contained in a back-up, unfortunately the July 2002 update we were working on at the time was not (I know, I know, shame on me!). There wasn't the time to recreate the update in time for the July 2002 deadline so we decided to take some much needed time off, upgrade the computers and focus on the December 2002 update. We appreciate your patience throughout this ordeal. |

March 2002 Update This (late) March 2002 update includes our addition of the new banner ads at the top of the category pages, completely redesigned, updated and enhanced Gene Krupa BANDS section, Films page and more!. See below for more information.
The most obvious aspect of the new March 2002 update has been the addition of the new banner ads at the top of the category pages. Some of the ads generate support for the site and help defray site costs, others are banners that we endorse and are displayed as a courtesy. We hope all the banners are of interest to those who frequent this site and merchants you'll patronize. Also, I've attempted the difficult task of trying to reference all the various personnel who have at one time or another performed with Gene Krupa and his various bands both live and in the studio. The majority of the information was lifted from either album notation or discography listings and should undoubtedly contain some omissions and/or errors. As always, any assistance to the addition or correction of this section is greatly welcomed and encouraged. |

December 2001 Update At first glance this December 2001 update may appear minor, but in actuality the update to just these four categories, Videos, Books, CD & Sheet Music, account for over 50 new pages! Check out them all!
At the last minute we're excited to announce that we have made the transformation and are no longer hosted through Geocities free service, but instead are hosting this site ourselves! (our next logical step after the GKRP domain name registration last update.) Basically what this means is, although we now incur a cost for the hosting service, we are no longer subject to Geocities content restriction guidelines and policies or their annoying pop-up advertisements. -- That's not to say that we won't decide to include our own advertisements. But if we do, our intent will be that they are unobtrusive and represent content we feel will be of interest to those who frequent this site. (note: although we highly recommend updating any links to the new www.gkrp.net address, any of the old Geocities links should still continue to function.) ...Oh, and by the way, this month we also celebrate our FOURTH! anniversary -- Wow! |

July 2001 Update This July update unveils a great new look to the GKRP. Be sure and let us know what you think! Also, we can now be reached at the site URL address of www.gkrp.net. This should make finding and using the GKRP easier. The full update list follows below;
As you can see this July update consists of a great new look to the GKRP. This is the beginning to some of the many new design changes we plan on gradually incorporating into the site. We tried to maintain the original look of the GKRP as much as possible, while at the same time giving it a fresher, more up-to-date web page appearance. Please let us know what you think of this new look. Also, we're excited to have obtained the site URL address of www.gkrp.net. Securing this address should make finding and using the GKRP easier. |

March 2001 Update Not a whole lot of new content in this March update. We've finished Gene's Sessionography with the inclusion of the 1960's and updated some pictures on our Pictures page. There was a major overhaul of the CD page planned which unfortunately had to be pushed back to the June update.
Going into our fourth year we're planning to incorporate some design changes (some major -- some not so major) into the site. One such page was our CD page which we had hoped to have completed in time for this update. Unfortunately, even by delaying the update, that didn't happen and it will be included in our June update. But expect to see many new changes and improvements to the site in the year ahead. And as always, if there's something you would like to see, be sure and let us know. |

December 2000 Update Although things have been quite lately, we've managed a few interesting additions for this December 2000 update, see below.
December 2000 marks our third year maintaining the GKRP and we always like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank the many visitors we've had and all the friends we've made through the common design of celebrating the life and career of Gene Krupa. And as always, your comments concerning this site are welcomed and encouraged. |

July 2000 Update Again as last July, most of the update is centered around the Sessionography Page. It's been completely revised and improved and now contains complete Musician information. But, we've also found time for other updates as well, including a brand new page...see below!
As this site get larger and larger and more complex the chance of errors, whether they be the site data or HTML source code, also increases. If you should come across an error, however small, or are having a problem getting one of the pages to function properly, we would very much appreciate you letting us know. And, as always, if there's anything you'd like to see on these pages, we encourage you to submit your requests as well. |

March 2000 Update Along with the following improvements, this March 2000 update also includes a great new Gene Krupa Screen Saver. We'd like to thank Mike Jennings for allowing us to use his PicSaver 3.0 ScreenSaver program. But that's not all - here's the complete scoop on what we've updated...
We receive quite a bit of e-mail here at the GKRP and endeavor to reply to each and every one. And although we do our best to see that no one is overlooked, occasionally it has happened. If you write us requesting a response and after a couple of weeks haven't received a reply, it may be that it got lost in the shuffle. December 1999 Update The bulk of this December 1999 update found me going through every page on the site tweaking, adjusting and improving. But I still found time to add some new content -- See below!
As we come to the end of our second year of maintaining the Gene Krupa Reference Page (we find it hard to imagine where the time went!), we'd again like to take the opportunity to sincerely thank the many visitors we've had and all the friends we've made. You've make it a tremendously enjoyable project and all worth while and we look forward to celebrating Gene in the new millennium. |

December 1998 Update In addition to the few minor updates we've added in the past couple months, like the new Date Bar and renaming two of our categories, this month we have a few more including a brand new page.
The twentieth of this month will mark the one year anniversary of this web site and we would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank the many visitors we've had and all the friends we've made. This site came into existence after I realized the surprising lack of any comprehensive information concerning Gene Krupa on the internet. It was apparent that there was a void that needed to be filled. Although I am far from the most competent for the job, I nevertheless decided to attempt the task of trying to fill a part of that void with some of the information available to me. At least to begin with, the majority of information will concentrate mainly on the years after Gene left the Goodman band and formed his own (1938 and on). Online information is available on the Benny Goodman band (see Links page), however if we receive significant submissions concerning Gene with Benny's band I will be happy to include it. Realize these series of pages are still at somewhat of a primitive stage and will hopefully benefit from informational contributions from readers. Also please take our Survey and let us know what you think of this site. Enjoy! |
