Stars Dick Powell as saxophone player Ronnie Bowers who travels to Hollywood after winning a talent contest - where he believes his prize is a date with the beautiful Rosemary Lane. Instead he ends up with her double and he's not to happy. He later becomes a star when he appears on Hollywood gossip columnist Louella Parson's radio show.
